Freedom and Limits – Conditions and Contradictions for young people in Europe
Introducción / Introduction
El título completo del proyecto "Libertad y Límites-
Condiciones y Contradicciones para la gente joven de Europa"
explica la idea del proyecto. Hay más libertad para la gente joven
en todas las dimensiones de la cultura, estilo de vida, política,
sociedad posibilidades técnicas etc, pero al mismo tiempo surgen
nuevas normas, límites y contradicciones. En este proyecto intentamos
explorar estas nuevas condiciones con nuestros alumnos.
El primer curso empezaremos analizando un tema muy concreto "nuevos
medios de comunicación" (móviles, Internet) y pasaremos
a temas más abstractos al final del proyecto ("el tiempo").
Otros temas que se analizarán son "trabajo", "salud
/ enfermedad", "relaciones sociales" (generaciones,
individuo / grupo) y "vecindad" (tolerancia, creencias).
La idea es desarrollar un interés entre los alumnos, profesores
y el resto de la comunidad educativa hacia los diferentes países
de Europa que no son bien conocidos para ellos.
Por consiguiente nuestro objetivo es conseguir un mejor entendimiento
de otras culturas europeas (y por supuesto también de la propia)
trabajando juntos en temas concretos.
The young generation nowadays is confronted with
a lot of new challenges that are different from the problems their parents
and grandparents had in their own youth: Borders are falling, new technical
possibilities are appearing every day, communication forms are changing
relations, "Europe" must be defined in a new way etc.
But at the same time there are also new contradictions and limits with
new freedom.
We want to investigate these challenges on selected themes with our students
in the context of different European countries. The start will be at the
very concrete theme "new media and communication" (mobiles,
intemet) and in the end we will get to the more abstract theme "time"
(what's that?). In between there will be investigations on "work",
"wellness / illness", "social relations" (generations,
individual / group) and "neighbours" (tolerance, belief
and knowledge).
The aim is to get a better understanding of the changes in contact, communication
and exchange with other people of the same generation in totally different
parts of Europe.
