Final report

The common part of the final report for the national agencies was filled in together. Some of the points were delegated to different partners: Michael and Nanny will take care of all practical information (p. 1). On the basis of the key words we agreed on, Harry and Inger will fill in 1 and 2.1 about contents and aims of the partnership. Deadline: before the end of the school year. The report must be sent in to the national agencies by September 1.

Comenius News

We decided to make a final issue of the Comenius News with the following contents:
p. 1      Summing up impressions of the last season(s) – Arturo/Silvia.
p. 2      Theme work on Neighbours, work about a European diet done by Maria José’s students.
p. 3      Theme work on Time, proverbs, summing up the questionnaire – Michael.
p. 4      Future cooperation, students’ ideas, Harry’s corner.

Deadline: first week of May.
Printing: before May 15.

Practical matters for Palencia Conference in Nov.2008

1. Comenius News
The brandnew Comenius News were distributed:  500 to Spain, 250 to Denmark, 350 to Germany. The costs will be shared in three parts.

2. Dates and deadlines

Detailed results about theme family structure will be sent soon to Silvia. She will make a synopsis and send it to the partners. Results will also be published in the net.
Results from Germany and Denmark about family policies will follow soon.
Results of the introduction to theme neighbours and tolerance shall be passed over to the partners until 15th of October
The newspapers what’s going on in this house will be presented at the next conference.
Next conference in Palencia 19th – 21st of November 2008

3. Evaluation of the conference

Beside all the positive comments given by the participating students we should think about the critical points that were mentioned:

  1. The tasks were not always clear enough to work on them. Students should be prepared in a better way.
  2. Students should be more mixed up, also teachers and students.
  3. The work was not always concentrated enough (necessary translations, group too big).
  4. Time was too narrow.
  5. More singing (of course a demand of the Danish students).

Practical matters for Palencia Conference in April 2007

We exchanged dates of holidays to make a common holiday plan, a necessary tool in our further cooperation.
Dates for the next conference in Palencia were settled: 18-20th of April (arriving latest on 17th and leaving earliest on 21st).
Every partner will bring two teachers, two students and deputies. The main tasks are evaluating the first year of the project and planning the second year.

 

1.- Renewal application

We agreed on the contents of the renewal application and made a project calendar for the 2nd year:
Autumn 2007 - conference in Hamburg (end of September or first week of October)
Spring 2008 - conference in Sliven, April
September-December 2007 first project period - "Togetherness", sub theme - Illness
February-March 2008 second project period - "Togetherness", sub theme - Generations/family,
Individual/group
Coordinating school: Kurt-Tucholsky, Main coordinator: Michael Bartsch


2.- Addresses - Communication

The address list was completed (annex 4) and we agreed on basic rules about sending information to each other. When sending e-mails it is important to send a cc to the
other partners, especially to the main coordinator. Likewise it is important to confirm e-mails.

3.- Comenius News

We agreed in publishing results and plans in a newspaper called "Comenius News". It will have four A4 pages and coloured photos. It will be printed in Denmark because there is already a master layout.

It depends on the price how many copies should be printed (500-1000 copies, in principle Spain wants 300-400).
For the first issue (January 2007) the following articles are planned:

- What is Comenius? (Ole)
- The partners: Kurt-Tucholsky-Gymnasium (Nanny)
- Tørring conference (Sara/Angela)
- New media and communication, results
- Harry's corner (Dirty Harry)
- Addresses (Harry)
- Calendar (Inger)

The second issue should be published in May 2007 because then lessons will stop in Denmark.

4.- Web-site

We decided that students/teachers can make presentations of their work on their own web-site but links should always be sent to Tørring who will establish and maintain our central platform.
